President’s Message

Man is like a block of wood. A sculptor can chisel out beautiful images from such blocks by carefully touching each and every part of the blocks which is like what the teacher is doing to a human block namely a student. An ignorant student which has been transformed into a wise , self respecting and knowing what is right and what is wrong becomes an educated human being and a valuable property of civil society .Society is the keeper as well as the user of that product namely the educated human being for its existence and continuous growth. Today’s mantra is ‘Quality Education’, which aims at training both the Head and the Heart. Education that builds fundamental traits of character, spirit of teamwork, unity, honesty, compassion, courage and positive temperament, is absolutely essential. Grace Convent is a temple of learning where each student is trained to turn the concepts into conviction, struggle into strengths, obstacles into opportunity.

The plans and policies periodically adopted and continually reviewed by the managing committee are meticulous and realistic. I am delighted to note that the institution offers its students the lasting treasures which will never be snatched away from them, namely values and wisdom. Thus the students, in response to the teachers should allow themselves to be molded into what they can be from what they are. It is also the duty of parents to see that their children achieve the end result-through inspiration and perspiration. The two lasting bequests which each student should inherit from an institution are Root and Wings. Root to be anchored in what one has learnt and Wings to fly beyond the border of one’s limitations.  The Root is meant to help and cherish the rich cultural, heritage, while the wing propel one to explore new avenues for progressive growth.
