Good Health has a good mind. A visiting doctor to attend the medical needs of the day scholars will be available at the school infirmary throughout the scholastic year. Students weight & height are recorded quarterly to update the parents about their ward,s health.
In order to maintain a cordial relationship between the parents and the teachers, the parents meet the teachers on every second Saturday.
A healthy mind in a healthy body, this is possible only when a student is physically fit therefore, the sports and game facilities on the campus make the students attain physical growth and imbibe sportsman spirit.
The school has separate courts for games like basketball and football. Inter-School matches and Sports Day give the students ample opportunity to hone their skills.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy… our school not just lays emphasis on studies, but also has sports activity weaved into the curriculum. We have a large play ground earmarked for various sports activities. Each day a period is allocated for sports and let the students break away from confines of the classroom and studies.
Today’s youth is tomorrow’s nation. And today’s youth are our students. Students do pay a vital role in the society and how a society is shaped generation after generations. The formative period of an individual is during the student phase and hence it is known to be the crucial time of life. What is being sown today is what shall be reaped later.
Studying is the main occupation of students. But, being youthful and energetic, they can engage themselves in various forms of social work in their spare time, and in moments of crisis.
The school aims at all round development of the child. The House system, field trips and various clubs organized in the school enable the students to better their academic performance and develop the latent potentials. They are encouraged to organize meetings and cultural programmes according to their individual artistic taste and bring to the surface the inventive skills and histrionic talents lying dormant in them.
To get a healthy competitive spirit and to create a sense of belonging, all students are divided into 4 houses. Each house has captain and vice-captain and also teacher representatives. Inter-house competitions are conducted on curricular and co-curricular activities and awareness oriented programme and points are awarded to the houses through out the year.
The school organised cultural activities on regular basis. This includes events on 26th January, 15th August, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Annual Function and many more.

It has been often debated in the recent past, whether sports should be compulsory at school or not! It cannot be denied that sports enhance the abilities of the child and develop challenging spirits. In the age of television, computer and video games, school students are becoming highly inactive which consequently leads to obesity in their later life. So, we at South City International School believe that sports activities should be encouraged from the very early days. Sports and outdoor games play a very important part in development of a healthy and fit body. Therefore we have incorporated Outdoor as well as Indoor school sports activities in our curriculum. Training is given by qualified, dedicated and experienced coaches which caters to the all-round development of a child.
School bus is available on specified routes. If the School bus facility to be availed of, it should be clearly mentioned on the Registration From.
Guest speakers have become an important part of the educational experience for students. They expose students to real-world life experiences from the position of someone who has been there. Students get to see the insight and perspective of the guest speaker’s particular field.
One important benefit that is derived from having a guest speaker is the enhancement of the students’ educational experience. They essentially get a glimpse into the everyday life of the speaker, which they can’t get anywhere else. Another added benefit is the link that students get to make between what they learn in their textbooks and what they learn from the guest speaker. Research indicates that it helps students build important connections between what they are learning and the real world.
Guest speakers offer something that you can’t offer your students; a different perspective. Have you ever been teaching a subject, and then all of a sudden you realize that the students just don’t understand what you are trying to say? A guest speaker supports a topic that you may know little about and can offer your students a different point of view, one that they may better understand. It gives them the opportunity to learn something new, while it gives you a break. You may find that you end up learning something new in the process.
A professional, experienced guest speaker can really make an impact on your students. They may be able to drive home a concept that you just couldn’t nail down. For example, if you were using classroom management to teach your students about texting and driving and the ramifications of it, but you found that they really didn’t grasp what you were trying to say, you could get a parent who has lost a child to a texting driver. Hearing a story from a parent who has lost a child could really make an impact on your classroom.
